City Council Regular Meeting Minutes

The Auburn City Council met in regular session at 7:00 pm on Monday, August 16, 2021, in the council chambers of Auburn City Hall.
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm
Presiding: Mayor Brown
Present: Council Members Bryan, Stewart, Potter
City Attorney Luckman, Superintendent Clinkenbeard, City Clerk Temple Absent: Council Members Davis and Arpin
Pledge of Allegiance recited.
Previous Meeting Minutes
Approval of August 2, 2021, meeting minutes reviewed. Council Member Potter motioned to approve meeting minutes. Council Member Bryan seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.
Question of Bills
Detailed report of payment of invoices and checks included in meeting packet for all to review. Council Member Bryan motioned to approve accounts payable ledger of $44,533.72 including Payroll. Council Member Stewart seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.
Auburn Feed Store Hearing
Owner of Auburn Feed Store was not present for the hearing.
Resolution 367
Resolution 367: Adopting the Kansas Homeland Security Region J Hazard Mitigation Plan presented and reviewed. Council Member Bryan motioned to approve Resolution 367 for signature. Council Member Potter seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.
Sound Ordinance
Sound Ordinance sample distributed to Council Members. City Attorney Luckman to review.
Citizens Forum
Matt Cobb presented building proposal for 11th and Washington property.
Elvira Greenspace Ordinance
Greenspace on Elvira Street Ordinance presented for approval. One correction to be made. Council Member Bryan motioned to approve Ordinance with correction. Council Member Stewart seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.
Parks Update
Quote presented for purchase of supplies and flag of $220. Council Member Bryan motioned to approve purchase of supplies and flag for $220. Council Member Stewart seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.
Chief Keys
Chief Keys reported Explorer in need of new all-weather tires on Explorer for purchase price of $680 for all 4 tires mounted and balanced. Council Member Stewart motioned to approve expense of $680 for tire purchase. Council Member Potter seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.
City Attorney Luckman
City Attorney Luckman recommended a motion for 10-minute executive session to include City Council and City Clerk. Council Member Bryan motioned. Stewart seconded.
Superintendent Clinkenbeard
Cleaning of Civic Building open for bid. Equipment repairs update
Code Compliance update.
City Clerk Temple
I.T. transition update to City Council.
New Business
None.

Council Member Potter motioned to adjourn. Council Member Stewart seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.
